Snooker Is Go! – A Gerry Anderson A21 News Report

by A21 Reporter Andy Clems

The world famous International Rescue is hosting a charity Snooker tournament to raise funds for the Clayton Foundation.

The Clayton Foundation is a charitable organisation set up by Sir Ralph Clayton to aid humanity in countless ways, from providing shelter to those in need, to researching cures for disease and even exploring options for environmental conservation.

International Rescue has supported the work of the Foundation in the past and was even on hand to provide critical aid to one of the Foundations projects during a flash flood in Africa earlier this year. Founder and head of International Rescue, Jeff Tracy, stated that he feels the charity tournament is, “A worthwhile cause and we’re very happy to be part of it.”

Players from all over the world have traveled to a top secret location for the event, and while we can’t tell you exactly where it’s being held, for security reasons, we can share the names of some of the attendees.

Representing the World Aquanaut Security Patrol are Captain Troy Tempest and Lieutenant Atlanta Shore. Tempest commented, “It sure is a pleasure to be here. The International Rescue guys are well known for going the extra mile. I hope Atlanta and I can give the other players a good game. Oh and don’t worry about Stingray, folks, Lieutenant Fisher, Phones and Marina have got everything under control.”

Lieutenant Green and Captain Indigo form the Spectrum team. The Lieutenant was keen to point out, “I don’t get much time to play on Cloudbase, but it’s always been a hobby of mine. Captain Indigo is a superb player, I’m sure she and I will give the others a game to remember.”

The World Intelligence Network have given Professor Ian and Joe McClaine leave to attend the tournament, although the Professor is quick to clarify, “Joe won’t be wearing his glasses for this event, though he’s pretty good at the game and I suppose I’m not bad either. However, it’s all for a good cause, that’s the main thing.”

Dick Spanner and Mae East have flown in from The Big Pear, eager to get in on the action. Spanner was heard to remark, “When I got the invitation, I knew it was my cue to put something in the pocket of the Clayton Foundation.”

Players are also expected from Space City, Demeter Satellite and Hawknest. Scott and Virgil Tracy are joining in on behalf of International Rescue, with the rest of the organisation on standby in case of an emergency call.

It’s certainly shaping up to be a fantastic event, so be sure to tune into tele-video channel 21 for all the very latest coverage!
